Energy Advice

Emergency/Crisis and General Energy Support and Advice

If you have self-disconnected and have no gas/electricity, please contact Salford Assist in the first instance. You can make an online application (salford.gov.uk) or contact Spirit of Salford on 0800 952 1000 to make a telephone application.

You will be asked for proof of your income and expenditure before they can award an energy voucher.

You also have the option of contacting your energy supplier and requesting an emergency top up if you have a smart meter. It is possible to get an additional emergency top up if your supplier agrees that you are vulnerable.

Salford Assist will then make a referral to our Energy Adviser who can then help you to make affordable repayment arrangements, apply for an energy grant, switch suppliers and offer advice about energy efficiency in your home.
